Consulate General of Israel to South India held a panel discussion on the "ROLE OF LEADERSHIP IN THE PURSUIT FOR PEACE", in commemoration of Mahatma Gandhi & Israeli PM Yitzhak Rabin

The discussion was followed by the theatre play “The Prophet and the Poet”. This event was a tribute to two great leaders who dedicated their lives to pursuing peace, Mahatma Gandhi and Israeli PM, Yitzhak Rabin. Tragically, they were both assassinated by their own people, the ones they dedicated their lives to.

The discussion revolved around the legacy of these two leaders, and what we learn from their actions when educating the next generation. Questions were raised regarding duties and responsibilities of leaders, and how they can help shape a brighter future.
