Noa Wertheim founded the Vertigo Dance Company in Jerusalem together with Adi Shaal in 1992. Vertigo has won international acclaim and is revolutionary in its community-centered and environmentally conscious approach to dance.

At the Vertigo Eco-Art Village situated in Kibbutz Netiv HaLamed Hei midway between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, she combines artistic expression, social responsibiilty and sustainability. There, in a refurbished chicken coop using only recycled or renewable materials, Vertigo's professional dancers rehearse and perform. Other programs inlucude workshops in art and practical ecology, an artists in residence program for local and foreign artists, and outreach performances and workshops for various groups, including special needs.
