Aviran Honors Sen. Graham

    Consul General Aviran was present in Charleston to congratulate Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) on his receiving the 2012 Francis Salvador Award.
     
    The Francis Salvador Award is given by the Kashal Kadosh Beth Elohim Synagogue in Charleston each year to a prominent citizen (or citizens) in recognition of demonstrated vision and leadership. 
    "Senator Graham is not only one of America's great leaders, he is one of Israel's greatest advocates," said Consul General Aviran.
     
    Israel's Ambassador to the United States Michael Oren also sent a letter to Senator Graham on the occasion of his award. Ambassador Oren wrote in his letter, "Senator Graham understands the deep and unshakable ties between Israel and the United States. He knows well the mutual values and common challenges shared by our two countries, and richly deserves the honor bestowed upon  him tonight."
