Christians, Jews Honor Israel

  •
Last night, Christians United for Israel (CUFI) held a special Night to Honor Israel at First Baptist Church in Dunwoody, Georgia.  Dr. Charles Stanley of First Baptist and CUFI founder Pastor John Hagee came together for the first time to hold the event.
Over two thousand Christians and Jews attended the Night to Honor Israel including many local rabbis, Jewish organization directors and a few holocaust survivors.

"Last night's CUFI Night to Honor Israel was an unbelievable event.  I want to thank Dr. Charles Stanley for graciously hosting the event at First Baptist Church. I was amazed to witness  such a clear outpouring of love by the Christian community for the Jewish people and Israel," said Opher Aviran, Consul General of Israel to the Southeast.

"The presence of so many local Rabbis and Jewish leaders was a testament of the strong alliance between Jews and Christians who support Israel.  For me, one of the most profound moments happened when Pastor John Hagee proclaimed before an audience that included several Holocaust survivors his resolve to fight against anti-Semitism and stand up for the Jewish people now and forever.  I thank CUFI for all it has done for Israel over the past several years," Aviran said.
