While in Nashville, Ambassador Dermer attended a special dinner and reception at the Gordon Jewish Community Center hosted by the Jewish Federation and Jewish Foundation of Nashville and Middle Tennessee under Executive Director Mark Freedman (bottom right photo).

With the help of Blewett McInteer, Director of International Business at the Nashville Chamber of Commerce,  Ambassador Dermer was able to brief the International Business Council (IBC) Board on Israel's economy.  The IBC is a network of international business leaders focused on expanding Middle Tennessee's global footprint. Lt. Governor Ron Ramey also presided over the discussion about Israel's growing cyber industry and how to better connect the business communities of Israel and Tennessee. In an event with the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce, Ambassador Dermer addressed Israel's strong economy and innovative workforce, advising the attendees to invest in Israel, if not for Israel's sake, for their own. Ambassador Dermer also referenced Prime Minister Netanyahu's plan to make Israel the world's leading power in cyber-security.
