    Point of clarification
    Mr. President, I want to make a clarification before I make my statement.
    The comments made by the Palestinian Representative were neither a point of clarification nor of a procedural nature. He spoke one and a half minute in excess. We came here in a spirit of dialogue and we are prepared to answer all questions regarding the territories under Israel’s control. We ask that his comments are deleted from the report.
    Response to Syria's recommendations
    Mr. President, I would also like to refer to the Syrian representative:
    I must confess I do not see the masses of Golan inhabitants rushing to visit their families on the Golan Heights. I suggest the Syrian delegate takes good care of Syria's catastrophic situation and more than 100.000 deaths before she gives recommendations to the State of Israel.
    Answer to question by Canada
    In response to Canada, I would emphasize two additional steps taken to enforce affirmative action regarding the Arab minority:
    -        An increase of directors in public companies;
    -        A continued intention to increase annually the number of minority individuals employed in the civil service.
