    Position location: Geneva, Switzerland

    The Israel Innovation Authority, an Israeli statutory entity responsible for the country's innovation policy, is looking for a Project and Global Partnerships Manager responsible for the Advancement and Implementation of Innovative Technologies for its Israeli Center of the 4th industrial revolution (C4IR) in collaboration with the World Economic Forum (WEF) based in Geneva, Switzerland.

    ​This position will report directly to the Head of the C4IR, which is part of the International Collaborations Division within the Israel Innovation Authority, based in Israel.

     

    The role entails:

    • Responsibility for initiating and leading the Center's projects in collaboration with global interfaces as well as the C4IR network and the World Economic Forum.
    • Manage activities with the international network of centers, particularly in San Francisco, New York, and Geneva. Activities that interface with government and regulatory entities in Israel, the different divisions of the Innovation Authority, high-tech industry in both Israel and abroad, and relevant academic and third sector entities in Israel and internationally.
    • Manage relationships and ongoing work with the C4IR center in Israel and with the work of the World Economic Forum in Geneva, as well as interface with industry, regulatory and other entities from around the world, with the aim of promoting the development and implementation of innovative technologies in Israel.​

    The Israel Innovation Authority's ("Innovation Authority") mission is to invest in innovation to promote sustainable and inclusive growth. It provides a variety of practical tools and funding platforms aimed at addressing the dynamic and changing needs of the local and international innovation ecosystems. The Innovation Authority provides conditional grants to support disruptive technological innovations to hundreds of companies on an annual basis. It is also engaged in creating the groundwork and infrastructure to prepare for future technologies to maintain both technological and economical leadership as well as improve productivity and global competitiveness of the Israeli economy.

    C4IR Israel was established in 2019 and is backed by a government decision and operates in collaboration with the network of international C4IR / WEF centers. It works to promote and assist in the development of adaptive regulation for new technologies and its implementation in a manner that will benefit the economy’s productivity as well as the overall economic growth of the State of Israel. The Center promotes local and global collaborations with government ministries, government entities, technology companies and the various divisions of the Innovation Authority in a wide range of leading regulatory and technological fields such as smart transportation, autonomous vehicles, drones, artificial intelligence, health and more.


    Responsibilities include:

    • Management of work in Geneva in collaboration with the center in Israel in its areas of activity, objectives, and programs.
    • Creating and increasing Global collaborations between different entities in Israel, the WEF, industry, regulators and more
    • Mapping Platforms and Potential Collaborations with the World Economic Forum
    • Leading and initiating processes vis-à-vis the World Economic Forum.
    • Managing relationships with industry entities, governments, international forums
    • Mapping potential technology fields for collaboration with local and international entities.
    • Continuous work in leading processes and interfaces with relevant entities in the Innovation Authority, the government, and the public sector
    • Ongoing contact with the World Economic Forum in various fields of activity
    • Processing the information coming from the global economic system, and transferring it to the relevant government entities and regulators in Israel
    • Present a single point of information for regulators seeking assistance with information and contacts with the World Economic Forum and its Network.
    • The work includes interfacing with private companies, government, academia and international entities.​


    Threshold requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in economics, law, public policy, or any other relevant degree
    • At least 1-2 years of experience in leading collaborations with various entities
    • English at a high level (writing, reading and fluent communication)
    • Experience in managing, initiating and leading projects with many stakeholders in the government/industry/third sector in Israel and abroad.
    • Ability to work independently.
    • Ability to create connections and lead processes vis-à-vis various interfaces.
    • Experience in working with international entities.
    • Good interpersonal relations
    • Ability to work in a team.​

     

    Advantageous Requirements:

    • Master's degree in one of the following fields: Law, Economics, Public Policy
    • Work experience and writing position papers in English
    • Familiarity with innovative technologies in the fields of smart transportation, data, artificial intelligence, climate, food and more
    • Extensive background in a variety of fields in the public sector in Israel
