    The Druze and the Circassians of Israel are two minority groups that are well-integrated into Israeli society and are an integral part of it, all while cultivating their unique traditions.

    The 134,000 followers of the Druze faith settled in Israel during the 11th century. They populate 22 villages in the north of the country, maintaining their distinct religion, culture and community life.

    Sunni Muslims originally from the Caucasus, the Circassians arrived in the Galilee (northern Israel) during the 19th century. Today, there are about 4,000 Circassians living mainly in the villages of Kfar Kama and Rehaniya.
