Lee Korzits was born in Hofit, Israel, in 1984. Winning her first windsurfing world title in 2003 at the age of 19, Korzits made history by becoming the first Israeli female world champion in any sport, and the youngest surfer ever to win the world title.
Although she suffered a serious injury in Hawaii in 2005, she made a full recovery and went on to win three more gold medals at Windsurfing World Championships - in 2011, 2012 and 2013.
