41 international delegations will arrive in Israel in the coming weeks to film their Postcards for the Eurovision Song Contest, which will be broadcast by KAN, the Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation. Each delegation will film a short clip in a different location across Israel.

The chosen concept: “Dancing Israel” – which will connect the participating countries with each other through the beautiful and historic landscapes of the State of Israel and through sound and movement.

Featuring in the Postcards will be the esteemed dancers Stephane Legar, Anna Aronov, Dana Frieder, Or Kahlon, Idan Sharabi, The Batsheva Dance Company, Rona-Lee Shimon, the Israeli Ballet and the Synchronised Swimming team who will contribute their talents as they star in the postcards of the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 which will take place this May in Tel Aviv.

The dancers will dance in different dance styles, from hip hop and parkour to modern dance and ballet. Representatives of the participating countries will join the creation of each Postcard each time with a different Israeli landscape.

Among the sites chosen for the Postcards: Eilat, Caesarea, the Dead Sea, Mount Hermon, the Bahai Gardens in Haifa and many others selected from a pool of more than 6,000 suggestions from KAN 11 viewers in Israel who recorded and photographed their favourite sites from across Israel. The producers at KAN selected the photograph of the Dead Sea to be the winning contribution and gave away a pair of tickets for the Eurovision semi-final.

Sharon Ben-David, Head of Communications for Eurovision 2019 said "The Postcards are one of the most important components of Eurovision’s broadcast and are shown every three minutes for 40 seconds each. They are an excellent opportunity to show the 200 million viewers around the world the beauty and diversity of Israel."

The Head Director is Karen Hochma who also directed the official music video of the winning Eurovision 2018 song "TOY". The Postcards will be produced by Gustavo Productions and will be directed by Israel’s top advertising directors.

Eurovision 2019 will be broadcast by KAN, the Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation, on 14, 16 and 18 May. The Eurovision Song Contest will be held for the 64th time and for the first time in Tel Aviv with the participation of 42 countries under the slogan 'Dare To Dream'.
