Huge plastic ball takes over Tel Aviv beaches

    Plastic kills more than 1.1 million seabirds, animals and forms of marine life every year. The ball is a colorful reminder to humankind that our actions have consequences and that our beaches and marine life deserve better.

    ​20 million tons of waste are thrown into the sea each year and the results are devastating. Plastic kills more than 1.1 million seabirds, animals and forms of marine life every year.

     

    Israeli artist Tal Czackes created a massive ball sculpture made out of plastic waste from various beaches and placed the ball on Tel Aviv's beaches.

     

    The ball is a colorful reminder to humankind that our actions have consequences and that our beaches and marine life deserve better.
