There are no boring old granite sculptures at the Rehovot Live Statue Festival. It's dynamic and interactive.

For the third year in a row, the Israeli city of Rehovot hosted a Live Statue Festival. The three-day event in July featured 40 different artists, including 12 chosen from Europe, Argentina and Mexico.
The show is free of charge and is meant to encourage people to interact with "statues" that are much more dynamic than the static ones built in town squares across the world.
"It's an event that has become a tradition in Rehovot," says Mayor Rahamim Malul. "The festival keeps getting bigger and attracts more people than the years before. Festival-goers say it's a happening on an international scale."
