    The Ministry of Tourism will host 64 leading fashion and lifestyle journalists from elite magazines worldwide as part of  the three-day Tel Aviv Fashion Week, which opens on Monday (November 21), attracting leading designers, journalists and fashion experts. Fashion magazines and newspapers expressed great interest in coming to Israel. 

    "Vogue," considered the world’s leading and most famous fashion magazine, will be sending representatives from Italy, Germany and Russia; the international magazine "Elle" will be sending over writers from France, Italy, Japan, Canada and Finland while journalists from Norway and China are expected to arrive from Cosmopolitan Magazine. They will be joined by other journalists from CNN, the British Sun, and fashion writers from France, Germany, Italy, the United States, Great Britain, Japan, Russia, China, Canada, Poland, Finland, Mexico, Norway and Slovakia. 

    The many journalists, guests of the Ministry of Tourism, will participate in Fashion Week events as well as tours of the various tourism sites in Israel.
     
    The hosting of the various journalists by the Ministry of Tourism is part of the ministry's marketing activities designed to expose decision makers worldwide to the various tourism, culture, leisure and entertainment opportunities available in Israel. Hosting allows for an unprecedented international exposure that speaks to a general audience looking for various vacation, leisure and entertainment opportunities alongside history, religion and culture. Within this framework, the Ministry of Tourism has hosted over the last year lifestyle guru Martha Stewart, Israeli born American singer Gene Simmons, the miners from Chile, American actress Claire Danes, actors from the television series "House," as well as leading bloggers from China and various other journalists.

Fashion aficionados tend to follow new and leading trends, and are attracted to cultural, historical and entertainment options which are all part of Israel's unique tourism product."
