Delegation of the City of Split visits Israel

    Delegation of the City of Split, headed by Deputy Mayor Jure Šundov, is officially visiting Israel.
    On February 27, the delegation visited Jerusalem and Yad Vashem, World Center for Holocaust Research, Documentation, Education and Commemoration.

    Deputy Mayor Šundov: "Especially impressive for all was a visit to the Yad Vashem which in a unique way shows suffering of the Jewish people before and during the Second World War".
    "Everything that I have experienced in this city culminated in this room with little stars representing prematurely extinguished lives of little angels. Let it never be forgotten, let the whole world and future generations learn here the lesson. I wish a future of lasting peace to friendly Jewish people", Šundov wrote in a book of memories in children's museum of Yad Vashem".
     
    "The delegation was received by Francoise Cafri,     Director of International Exchange Division, Department of Social Activities, Municipality of Jerusalem, and they discussed cultural cooperation".
