    Academic seminar "Excellence in education"

    Embassy of the State of Israel in Zagreb together with the Croatian Agency for science and higher education, University of Zagreb, BICRO and under the auspice of the President of the Republic of Croatia, Prof. Ivo Josipović, Ph.D., had organized Academic Seminar titled "Excellence in education: a motor for research and innovations"

    4)     Eli Opper,Ph.D., former Chief Scientist, Ministry of Industry and Trade

    Distinguished Prof. Dan Shechtman from Techion University in Israel visited Croatia as a key note speaker at the "Academic Seminar" in April this year: 


    Professor Shechtman, Ph.D in Materials Engineering, has received, in 2011, a Nobel prize laureate in Chemistry for the discovery of quasicrystals. Among many, he also has received Weizmann Science Award, Wolf Prize as well as Israel Prize in Physics. From 2004, professor Shechtman is an elected member of the European Academy of Science.
