This
year again Zagreb will be hosting Croatia’s World Literature Festival, for the
third time in a row. From 3 to 11 September 2015 the programme of the Festival
will be taking place at three Zagreb locations – Europa movie
theatre, the Bogdan Ogrizović Public Library and the Josip Račić
Studio at the Zagreb Modern Gallery. Apart from literature, visual art and
music, some of around fifty Festival’s events will also be dedicated to the
comic strip and film.
The
Festival’s programme will present over 50 established national and foreign
authors from more than 15 countries.
The
Festival will again be organised by its founder, the Zagreb-based publishing
house Fraktura, in cooperation with the Slovene Vilenica International Literary
Festival and the Irish Cúirt International Festival of Literature, with the
support of the EU programme Creative Europe as part of its funding the Sharing
the Wor(l)d project, and the additional support of the Croatia’s Ministry of
Culture, City of Zagreb, Croatia’s French Festival Rendez-vous, French
Institute, European network for literature and books Traduki, Italian Cultural
Institute in Zagreb, Embassy of Finland in Croatia, Embassy of Israel in
Croatia, Austrian Cultural Forum Zagreb, Croatian Goethe-Institute and the
Miroslav Krleža Institute of Lexicography.
