Ambassador Gary Koren participated in the international conference ‘Current issues in water supply and sewage’ at the Olympia hotel in Vodice.

Participants of the conference include Israeli companies Asterra, Raphael Valves (Talis Group), Araad, Ari, Bermad. Speakers at the conference included state secretary dr.sc. Mario Šiljeg, general director of Hrvatske vode Zoran Đuroković, H.E. Ambassador of Slovenia Gašpar Dovžan and director of the water protection sector in Hrvatske vode dr.sc. Mara Pavelić.

Israeli companies were also visited by state secretary Mario Šiljeg who got to know their technologies in more detail.

At the opening ceremony, Ambassador Koren said: “Israeli water technologies are being used worldwide and a good example of them being used in Croatia is in Istria, which has been using it for 25 years already. Its long lasting performance ensures optimal cost effectiveness of our technologies. Technologies such as drip irrigation, technologies against pipe bursting, technologies for stopping water leakages in the water distribution systems, waste water treatment technologies, special filters and valves for all kind of water pressures etc. can certainly be implemented in other parts of Croatia as well.’’
