Rector of Yangon, Dr.Tin Tun and Dr.Amir Sagi
Dr. Amir Sagi, Professor and President of International Society for Invertebrate Reproduction and Development (ISIRD) from Department of Life Science and the National Institute for Biotechnology in the Negev Ben-Gurion University gave 2 special lectures in Yangon, Myanmar in collaboration with Yangon University, Embassy of Israel in Yangon and Myanmar Fishery Federation. During his visit, he had discussion with executive members from MFF concerning technical collaboration in the field of fish farming and gave a lecture on “Mono-Sex Culture & Sex Reversal in GP” on 20th March 2012 at Myanmar Fishery Federation Building. Arranged by Myanmar Fishery Federation, he visited some fish and prawns farms near Yangon and Twantay, met farmers from the farms and gave some technical advice. On 22 March 2012, the lecture titled “The Crustacean Androgenic Gland, Sex Differentiation, Insulin and Biotechnology” was also given at Arts Hall, Yangon University.
