As part of the opening of the United Nations Conference on the Status of Women (CSW), Israel's ambassador to the United Nations, Danny Danon, met today with a delegation of leading women from Israel's public and private sectors who have arrived to participate in the conference.

At the conference, Israel's Mission to the UN will host a major event, titled "The Role of the Private Sector in Integrating Women", in which the minister for Social Equality will also participate in the event.

The women's delegation from Israel includes, among others, the Secretary General of the Knesset Yardena Horowitz and the Executive Director of the Authority for the Advancement of Women Eva Madjiboj. Alongside them are Inbal Lavi Izhaki (CEO of the Webpals Group), Darya Henig Shaked (Founder of WeAct), Sigal Bar On (Co-Chair of the Dr. Fisher Group), Prof. Avi Sagi-Schwartz of the University of Haifa, and representatives of P51 and WePower.

"We are proud that a diverse group of women represents the State of Israel at CSW, demonstrating that this is all about women's empowerment, and how our Israeli women are contributing to the international community through their skills and experience."
