Israel's ambassador to the United Nations, Danny Danon, took part Wednesday in an event about anti-Semitic at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library in Boston.
Ambassador Danon referred to the recent statements made by the international community regarding Holocaust remembrance and said that “as a wave of anti-Semitism sweeps the world, we are witnessing the spread of lies that attempt to distort the memory of the Holocaust. We will not allow Congresswoman Tlaib and extremist elements in Europe to rewrite history. We will not remain silent in the face of those who try to do so.”
Danon added that "world leaders must defend the truth, as this is the only way to create a future without hatred towards Jews and Israel."
At the initiative of Ambassador Danon, UN ambassadors from Panama, Mexico, Slovenia and Latvia were also invited to attend the event to combat anti-Semitism. The event is expected to include a friendly exhibition match between Boston's New England Revolution and Chelsea FC.
