March of the Living with UN Ambassadors

     A delegation of UN ambassadors from around the world, led by Israel’s ambassador to the UN, Danny Danon, took part in the March of the Living in Poland; alongside senior US officials, led by American Ambassador David Friedman; Chairman of the Jewish Agency, Isaac Herzog; and Chairman of the Yad Vashem Council, Rabbi Israel Lau. The UN delegation included ambassadors from Africa, Asia, the Pacific, Latin America and Eastern Europe. Together, they marched from Auschwitz to Birkenau.

    Ambassador Danon said at the March: "There are still people, and even entire communities, who have learned nothing from the Holocaust. Threats to destroy the Jewish state alongside intensified Antisemitism should serve as warning signs for all of humanity. The March of the Living is a critical part of Holocaust remembrance. It is our duty to ensure that the world never forgets the horrors our people endured and will always act decisively so that nothing like it will ever happen again.”
