    Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu returned to Israel after meeting today (Thursday, 16 January 2014) in Amman with King Abdullah II of Jordan.
    The Prime Minister and His Majesty discussed recent developments in the negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians. The Prime Minister stressed the important role played by Jordan, under King Abdullah's leadership, in the efforts to bring about an agreement. The Prime Minister emphasized that Israel places a premium on security arrangements, including Jordan's interests, in any future agreement that will take into consideration the peace treaty between Jordan and Israel, signed 20 years ago.
    The Prime Minister and His Majesty discussed an array of economic cooperation between both countries in a number of fields as well as other regional matters.
