Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Avigdor Liberman said that the
recent attacks against Israeli missions are additional proof that Iran is the greatest threat to peace in the world today.
Liberman made this statement in his meeting on Wednesday, February 15, with visiting Croatian President Ivo Josipović and Foreign Minister Prof. Vesna Pusić. Iran is the biggest financer of global terror, and its leaders’ speeches about the need to destroy the Jewish state are not just empty words; their nuclear arms program aims to carry out that goal. In the meantime, until the project is completed, they are involved in acts of terrorism against Israeli targets throughout the world.
FM Liberman told President Josipović that the West must react with determination against Iranian actions, on all levels. This is not the first time that the Jews serve as a convenient primary target of insane dictatorships, but they do not remain the only target.
Israel's ambassadors and emissaries in the world will stand firm in the face of Iranian terrorism, and Israel’s security forces will know how to respond to counter the Iranian threat. The rest of the countries in the world should behave in a similar fashion.
