​The Ambassador of Israel Ran Gidor was hosted by the Georgian Parliament Chairman Archil Talakvadze. At the introductory meeting, the parties discussed the historical ties between Georgia and Israel and assessed the bilateral relations with particular emphasis on the importance of close inter-parliamentary cooperation. They also discussed some of the political challenges currently facing Georgia, as well as various ideas for upgrading even further the excellent economic, governmental and parliamentary relations between Israel and Georgia. ​​
