    Follow Israel's athletes at the London Olympics 2012

    Israeli successes so far: 

    • Amit Ivry became the first Israeli female swimmer to take part in an Olympic semi-final, finishing 13th in the 200m individual medley semi-final, with a new Israeli national record time of 2:13.29 minutes.
    • Yakov Toumarkin recorded the best ever result for an Israeli swimmer at the Olympics by ending the 200-meter backstroke final in seventh place in a time of 1:57.62 minutes.
    • Swimmer Gal Nevo finished 10th overall in the both the 400 and 200-meter individual medleys.
    • Israeli gymnast Alexander Shatilov completed the individual all-around final in 12th place and 6th in the floor exercise final.
    • Andy Ram and Yoni Erlich reached the quarterfinals of the Olympic tennis doubles tournament, defeating Beijing 2008 gold medalists Roger Federer and Stanislas Wawrinka 1-6, 7-6, 6-3, where they lost in two tie-breaker sets to the top-ranked American Bryan brothers.
    • Windsurfer Lee Korsiz attained 9th place in the RS-X finals held on 7 August at Weymouth and Portland
