​The Israeli Embassy to Georgia, together with MASHAV (Israel’s International Development Cooperation Agency), Georgian NCDC and UNICEF, launched a project aimed at identifying possible sources of lead & metal contamination in the blood system of infants and mothers (especially in Georgia’s western regions). A delegation of 4 senior Israeli scientists is here to assist in upgrading the facilities of the Georgian Chemical Risk Factor Laboratory and train the local team in utilizing its full potential.​
