President of the Republic of Macedonia Dr. Gjorge Ivanov received, to
the farewell visit, Ambassador of the State of Israel, Yosef Amrani on 10
December 2013.
President Ivanov expressed his gratitude for the Ambassador's
involvement in promoting relations between the two countries and wished him
success in his future career.
The two interlocutors have expressed satisfaction with the high level of
political relations and a positive trend in cooperation. The common conclusion
is that in the future the two countries should focus on promoting economic
cooperation.
"I think the priority in relations between the two countries in the
upcoming period is to further promote the economic cooperation, cooperation in
the fields of agriculture, trade promotion and increase of the Israeli
investments in Macedonia," Ivanov said.
President Ivanov welcomed the role of the Jewish community in the
country and expressed confidence that it will continue to play an active role
in the development of the country, as well as to foster good relations between
the two countries .
Furthermore, the satisfaction with the excellent cooperation between
Macedonia and the State of Israel at the multilateral level, and the
willingness to further deepen friendly relations was expressed at the meeting.
