NOMEAÇÃO DE EMB. ISRAELENSES EM MISSÃO NO EXTERIOR

    The Cabinet, at its weekly meeting (Sunday, 6 September 2015), approved the following Foreign Service appointments:
     
    * PM's Foreign Media Adviser Mark Regev as Ambassador to the UK;
    * Dani Dayan as Ambassador to Brazil;
    * Zvi Aviner-Vapni as Ambassador to Slovakia;
    * Michael Brodsky as Ambassador to Kazakhstan and non-resident Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan; and
    * Eliahu Ben-Tura as non-Resident Ambassador to the Democratic Republic of Congo, the Republic of Congo, the Republic of Gabon and the Republic of Madagascar.
     
    The following appointments have yet to receive Cabinet approval and are due to be voted on soon:
     
    * Amikam Levy as Consul General in Shanghai;
    * Lior Haiat as Consul General in Miami; and
    * Yael Hashavit as Consul General in Bangalore.
     
    Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu: "The appointment of ambassadors is important for Israel's foreign policy. The highest mission of any ambassador is the ability to influence public opinion. This is what distinguishes good ambassadors from mediocre ambassadors."
