In the grand setting of Ottawa's Chateau Laurier, 450 friends joined the Embassy in celebrating 66 years of Israel's independence. Ambassador Barak and Employment Minister Kenney spoke about the warm ties between Canada and Israel. Many ministers, senators, members of parliament, supreme court justices, diplomats, officials, academics, journalists and friends were on hand to toast the Canada-Israel friendship.
