Det israelske Utenriksdepartementet satte sammen et team med eksperter som fløy til Burgas for å assistere lokale myndigheter i etterforskningen. Den israelske ambassaden i Sofia har blitt mobilisert og er rede til å hjelpe teamet.

32 av de sårede israelerne ble fløyet hjem til Israel og sendt til sykehus. To alvorlig sårede som ikke kan flyttes på dette tidspunktet blir værende i Sofia. Identifiseringen av ofrene fortsetter i Bulgaria.

Utenriksminister Liberman snakket med sin bulgarske motpart Nikolay Mladenov etter terrorangrepet. Utenriksminister Minister Nickolay Mladenov: "Bulgaria vil gjøre alt som står i sin makt til å klargjøre omstendighetene rundt denne forferdelige hendelsen."

Statsminister Netanyahu: "Alle tegn peker mot Iran. I løpet av de siste få månedene har vi sett Iran har forsøkt å angripe israelere i Thailand, India, Georgia, Kenya, Kypros og andre land. Nøyaktig 18 år etter det grusomme angrepet på det jødiske sentret i Argentina, fortsetter den dødlige iranske terroren å slå til mot uskyldige mennesker. Dette er en global iransk terrorkampanje og Israel vil reagere strengt på den."

Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov called Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and asked to convey his condolences over the deaths of the Israeli tourists in the terrorist attack in Burgas. He said that the attack was not only against Israelis but against Bulgaria as well. The two agreed that Israel and Bulgaria would cooperate closely in investigating the attack.

Prime Minister Netanyahu thanked Bulgarian Prime Minister Borissov and said that Iran and Hizbullah are conducting a campaign of terrorism against Israeli targets around the world.

US President Barack Obama called Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and expressed his condolences over the deaths of Israelis in the terrorist attack in Bulgaria. The two agreed that Israel and the US would work together in investigating the attack.

Prime Minister Netanyahu thanked US President Obama for the call and said that Iran and Hizbullah are conducting a campaign of terrorism around the world. "Iran is a global terrorism state. It must bear the consequences," the Prime Minister said.
