Anand Kulkarni, Chief Protocol Officer and Director General, Information & Public Relations Dept, Government of Maharashtra was the chief guest. Dr Satyapal Singh, Police Commissioner of Mumbai, Summit Mullick, Secretary, State Excise Dept, Mr D Shivanandan, Former DGP of Maharashtra along with high ranking government officials, corporate executives, consular corps in Mumbai along with friends of the Consulate and members of the local Jewish community were present.

Mr. Kulkarni in his remarks mentioned Israel’s success in water management, particularly drip irrigation technology. He cited the need for cooperation between Israel and Maharashtra on the backdrop of the acute drought and water shortage in various parts of Maharashtra. Israel’s Consul General in Mumbai, Mrs Orna Sagiv in her speech gave an overview of Israel’s journey in the last 65 years and the flourishing relations between Israel and India. 

Lenny Ravich took the audience through a fun-filled interactive presentation titled, “Dance Life… Don’t Drag it”. He emphasized on facing and responding to diverse situations with consistent optimism, with humour as the essential ingredient. Ravich reflected on human problems and described a set of 10 ways to learn how to “dance life”. The audience was kept engaged and cheerful through small skits and funny behavior. He urged the people to see challenges as “a raging rodeo bull, and yourself as the matador controlling the red robe. 

During his stay in Mumbai, Lenny Ravich interacted with the children at the Don Bosco Shelter and the students of University of Mumbai, Kalina Campus in addition to a few workshops for corporate executives.
