Elias Schalar was born in Mosesville, Argentina. Throughout his childhood he excelled in his studies and was on the swimming and Athletics sports teams. He obtained a Masters degree in electronics engineering. In 1963 he made "Aliya" and immigrated to Israel with his parents. He married Rivka and worked in El-Al - Israel's national airline company as an electronics engineer. In his twilight years, he was fortunate to be nursed by a devoted and kind Nepali caregiver Mr. Ramesh Chakra Khadka for 57 months.
Mr. Khadka installed a statue of late Elias, made by a renowned Artist Mr. Bikram Shree in the "Itahar Matrix Park" in love and honour for late Ilias and for Israel. It is located in the heart of the Itahari City, Eastern Nepal. This park was inaugurated by H.E. Mr. Yaron Mayer, Ambassdor of Israel to Nepal on 23 May 2017. Ambassador Mayer unveiled the monument of senior citizen of Israel Late Ilias Schalar, installed at Ilias Park in Itahari.
