Memorial Day, Yom Hazikaron in Hebrew, is a day of collective and personal anguish mingled with honor for the fallen.
The Embassy of Israel in Kathmandu observed the day with a ceremony at the Embassy. The Israeli community and Israeli travelers in Nepal participated in this ceremony and remembered and honored 23,544 fallen soldiers and civilians who gave their lives to protect Israel.
