Negotiations on the Agreement on Surrender of Fugitive Offenders (Extradition) between the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China and the State of Israel were held in Hong Kong from 26-28 July 2011.

The State of Israel’s Delegation was led by Mr Gal Levertov, Director, Department of International Affairs, Office of the State Attorney, Ministry of Justice. The Hong Kong SAR Delegation was led by Mr Wayne Walsh, Deputy Law Officer (Mutual Legal Assistance), International Law Division, Department of Justice of the Hong Kong SAR.
The negotiations were conducted in a friendly and constructive manner. The delegations were able to reach consensus and agree to follow up with their respective authorities with a view to early completion of their procedures necessary for the signing of the Agreement between the State of Israel and the Hong Kong SAR.
