    ​Mr. Shalom Simhon, Israel's Minister of Industry, Trade and Labour and delegation paid an official visit to Hong Kong during 23-25 February 2012.

    ​Among the members of the delegation were Mr. Boaz Hirsch, Deputy Director General and Director, Foreign Trade Administration, Mr. Elad Goz, Director, Asia & Pacific Division, Foreign Trade Administration, and Ms. Alisa Cohen, Chief of Staff.
     
    Joined by Ambassador Amikam Levy, Minister Simhom and delegation met with Hong Kong SAR Government officials and local business leaders in this three-day visit, including Mr. Greg So, the Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development of the HKSAR; Mrs. Susan Chow, Deputy Group Managing Director, and Mr. Frank J. Sixt, Group Finance Director of Hutchison Whampoa Limited; and Ms. Anita Fung, Group General Manager and Chief Executive Officer Hong Kong, and Mr. George Leung, Advisor, Asia-Pacific (Strategy and Economics) of HSBC Hong Kong.
     
    While in Hong Kong, Minister Simhom and delegation attended a luncheon hosted by Mr. Rafael Aharoni, Chairman of the Israeli Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong, where they met with leaders of Israeli Diamond Traders based in Hong Kong. Ambassador Levy also hoseted an official dinner for them at his residence.
     
    The delegation continued on their journey to Australia for an official visit.
