Deemed “One of the most accomplished and adventurous musicians of his generation” (The New York Times), Israeli conductor and pianist David Greilsammer returns to Hong Kong this summer, performing Mozart’s Piano Concerto No 17 with Hong Kong Sinfonietta on 25 June. The acclaimed musician will also conduct Haydn’s sensational Symphony No 103, “Drum Roll”, Rameau’s Orchestral Suite from Operas and Ligeti’s Melodien.
Currently Music and Artistic Director of Geneva Camerata, as well as Artist-in-Residence at Saint-Étienne Opera in France and Meitar Ensemble in Tel Aviv, Greilsammer is known for his electric and fascinating programmes which often consist of distinct styles of music ranging from baroque to contemporary. He has collaborated with choreographers, visual artists, as well as jazz, world, and rock musicians, making him one of today’s most audacious classical artists.
身兼指揮及鋼琴家的格拉斯曼與香港小交響樂團將在6月25日的音樂會上首次聚首。他會演奏莫扎特的第17鋼琴協奏曲，並指揮樂團，用音樂帶領觀眾歐遊。這場音樂會將由巴羅克時期法國歌劇大師拉莫的作品展開，配上「交響樂之父」海頓晚期的交響曲及20世紀前衛作曲家之一，匈牙利的利蓋蒂於1971年為紀念文藝復興著名藝術家杜勒誕生500周年而寫的《旋律》，引領觀眾走進非一般的音樂領域。
格拉斯曼不但是技藝精湛的鋼琴家，也是現今最前衛的古典音樂家之一。他的節目策劃大膽創新，選曲鋪排亦甚具創意。作為日內瓦室樂團藝術總監及法國聖安娣雅歌劇院、以色列特拉維夫梅塔爾合奏團的駐團藝術家，他策劃的音樂會每每令觀眾驚喜萬分。除了經常與著名獨奏家合作外，他甚至物色編舞家、爵士及搖滾音樂人作跨界演出，積極擴展古典音樂的各種藝術可能。
