On the occasion of International Holocaust Remembrance Day, Consul General Amir Lai co-signed an article on combatting Holocaust denial and distortion, with Mrs. Stefanie Seedig, the German Consul General to Hong Kong. The article was published in Ming Pao Daily and South China Morning Post.For the first time in such collaboration in Hong Kong, the article highlights the recent sharp rise in anti-Semitic attacks around the world and the successful joint effort of Germany and Israel to introduce a UN resolution on Holocaust denial.
總領事藍天銘和德國駐港總領事施懿德就國際納粹大屠殺紀念日，聯署了一篇文章，有關全球各地的反猶太主義不斷升溫，以及以色列和德國早前為此在聯合國大會，共同推動一項針對否定納粹大屠殺思潮的決議，獲一致通過，並列出實際措施，由國際社會帶領，積極推動教育項目，文章分別在《明報》和《南華早報》刊登。
猶太人被企圖種族滅絕的史實才不過過去了70多年，大家絕對不能對這史實懵然不知；對仇視猶太人的行為不聞不問，亦絕不能被容忍。當年納粹大屠殺的倖存者已年紀老邁；憶記過往歷史、教育下一代的重任，就應由我們來傳承。
