The commencement of the Elman Family Chair in Jewish and
Israeli Studies at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, will,
for the first time in Hong Kong, give the opportunity to students in Hong Kong
to take courses in Jewish and Israeli studies in a local university.
To celebrate this, a series of academic and cultural
events will be held on the HKUST campus, including talks, piano recital and
film screening.
