HK delegation attending Israel Innovation Week

    The largest-ever delegation from Hong Kong visiting Israel to attend Israel Innovation Week 2014

    A 35-member strong delegation from Hong Kong is currently visiting Tel Aviv, Israel, to attend Israel Innovation Week 2014, a mega international conference for the most visionary industry and political leaders in innovation from around the world to meet.
     
    Israel Innovation Week 2014, being held during May 20-22, and its major highlight - MIXiii Israel Innovation Conference – is an event that combines both business and government perspectives.  There are a biomed and high-tech exhibition and various sessions covering topics of mutual interest to the entire advanced technology industries and outlook of innovation and R&D policy.
     
    This unique occasion enables the Hong Kong delegates, comprising government officials, representatives of technological organisations and businessmen, to participate in discussions, panels, product demonstrations and networking opportunities for new business co-operation, to interact with leading entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, angel investors, business leaders, startups and government officials, and to visit research facilities, in order to identify relevant partners and business opportunities between Hong Kong and Israel.

    Members include investors and representatives of leading Hong Kong companies in the fields of medical devices, biotechnology and professional services.
     
    As a “startup nation”, Israel has pioneered breakthroughs in different areas of technology and now has the largest number of companies traded on the NASDAQ after the USA.  Israel’s co-going collaboration with Hong Kong include the recently signed memorandum of understanding on bi-lateral co-operation in industrial research and development, and various business and technology related events organised by the Economic and Trade Mission within the Consulate General of Israel in Hong Kong and Macau.
