Queen Elizabeth II had passed away aged 96

Following the announcement regarding her medical condition a few hours ago, the United Kingdom has received the news about Queen Elizabeth II's passing.

The United Kingdom is bowing their heads: "London Bridge Is Down" - Queen Elizabeth Alexandra Mary, who's been the head of the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth of Nations, Commander in chief of the British army and Supreme Governor of the Church of England, has passed away today (Thursday), aged 96.

Earlier this afternoon Buckingham Palace had releasing a concerning announcement regarding her medical health and her doctors' recommendations suggesting she'll stay in medical supervision. Following this announcement it was reported that all four of the queen's children, and her grandchild prince William, have arrived to the castle in Balmoral, Scotland.
The queen's death has now been announced officially by the Royal House.
The funeral will be held in London in ten days.

The queen ruled England for 70 years, and since 2016 has been the longest-serving incumbent head of state.

Queen Elizabeth never visited Israel, but met with former president Chaim Hertzog in 1993 and with former president Ezer Weizman in 1997.

On her 21st birthday princess Elizabeth declared that she will dedicate her life to serve the empire and invited the public to support her, on her first ever radio speech:

"I declare before you all that my whole life, wether it be long or short, shall be devoted to your service and the service of our great imperial family to which we all belong. But I shall not have strength to carry out this resolution alone, unless you join in it with me, as I now invite you to do. I know that your support will be unfailingly given. God help me to make good my vow, and God bless all of you who are willing to share in it.”

President Hertzog has sent his condolences, "HM Queen Elizabeth II was known far and wide simply as The Queen. Her passing is the end of an era. Together with the Israeli people, I grieve her loss and extend my deepest sympathies to the British people and all nations of the Commonwealth, who have lost their matriarch".
