    To the Muslim citizens of Israel and residents of the Arab countries, I greet you on the occasion of Eid al-Adha (Festival of the Sacrifice).

    I hope that the coming year will be quieter, more tranquil and safer for us and also for our neighbors in the entire Middle East region.

    Specifically, our hand is outstretched in peace to our Palestinian neighbors,
    And I hope that this year we will see real progress towards peace.

    In addition, we will continue to uphold the status quo at the holy places.

    The holy sites are important to us, the Jews, to the Muslims, and, of course, to the Christians. We respect those rights and we will safeguard them.
