    Minister of Foreign Affairs Yair Lapid spoke last night (Saturday, 18 September 2021) by telephone with Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shoukry.
    At the start of the conversation the two expressed their great satisfaction with the meeting that took place between Prime Minister Naftali Bennet and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. The conversation was warm and friendly and the two agreed to continue their conversation in the near future. 
    The two expressed a desire to strengthen the good bilateral and economic relations between Israel and Egypt, as well as the potential for increased trade and business activity between the countries. They also discussed the "Economy for Security" program for Gaza presented by FM Lapid last week.
