Minister of Defense Yoav Gallant on Monday hosted his Albanian counterpart, Minister of Defense Niko Peleshi, at the Ministry of Defense headquarters in Tel Aviv. The Albanian Minister was welcomed in a celebratory ceremony, followed by a meeting during which the parties discussed bilateral defense cooperation and security issues of common interest.
Upon completing the meeting, the Ministers conducted a symbolic ceremony during which they signed the defense MOU between the security establishments of each country. The MOU sets the framework for defense, military and industrial cooperation.
Minister Gallant concluded the discussion by expressing his appreciation to Minister Peleshi for his commitment to further strengthening the diplomatic and security ties between the State of Israel and Albania.
