With skiing now on the winter sports agenda, tourists in Israel with a taste for adventure and contrasts can choose to ski and snorkel all in the same day! The winter sun resort of Eilat on the Red Sea is just a few hours' drive or plane ride away, with warm winter sunshine, and plenty of watersports and other extreme mountain sports on offer.

At an altitude of 2020 meters above sea level, the Hermon ski resort covers about 45 miles of tracks which provide enjoyment for snowboarding and skiing enthusiasts at all levels. The site has 11 cable cars and ski lifts with T-Bar, a ski school and ski equipment rental shop.  There are two courses on the map that are competitive Olympic-level ski courses, recognized by the International F.I.S Ski Federation.
Visitors who do not want to ski can enjoy various entertainment options including snow sledding, experience the “Extreme” mountain slides, go up by the upper cable car and enjoy the magnificent views.  There are stores to purchase ski equipment, with cafe and restaurants on site.
