At a meeting between President Isaac Herzog and Indian External Affairs Minister Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar Wednesday, President Herzog praised the flourishing of the Israel-India relationship. That same day, the Indian minister also met with PM Naftali Bennet, during which the two discussed strengthening the strategic alliance and expanding bilateral ties.

Earlier, meeting with FM Yair Lapid, the two joined the foreign ministers of the United Arab Emirates and the US in a teleconference aimed at establishing a forum for economic cooperation.

“Synergy is what we are going to create, starting from this meeting,” Lapid said. “Synergy is what will help us work together on infrastructure, digital infrastructure, transportation, ports, trains, and maritime security.” The four ministers agreed to appoint a professional joint working group.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken “reiterated the Biden administration’s support for the Abraham Accords and normalization agreements and discussed future opportunities for collaboration in the region and globally,” according to the State Department spokesman, Ned Price.

FM Lapid said that the initiative will be judged by "how fast can we turn this into a process that will put boots on the ground to change infrastructures around the world.”
