    Chengdu-Tel Aviv Direct Flight Opens
The Sichuan Airlines launched September 26 the non-stop air link between Chengdu and Tel Aviv, Israel, with the maiden flight fully loaded with 275 passengers. The day before the launch, the company and Consulate General of Israel in Chengdu co-hosted a promotional event for the service.
Using Airbus A330 airplane, the bi-weekly round-trip service operates on every Monday and Sunday. The outbound flights departing from Chengdu, leave at 02:15 and arrive at 07: 35, taking 10 hours and 20 minutes. While the inbound ones departing from Tel Aviv, leave at 15:35 and arrive at 06:00 next day, taking 9 hours and 25 minutes.
The service makes Chengdu the fourth city in the Chinese mainland and first in the country's central and western regions with a direct air link to Israel. The route between Chengdu and Tel Aviv is the shortest among all those which have already been open between China and Israel. The direct flight will be followed by more frequent and efficient exchanges and cooperation between Sichuan and Israel.
