Deputy Consul General of Israel Visited Ya'an

    The Deputy Consul General of Israel in Chengdu, Mr. Cobi Yanovsky conducted his first official visit to Ya’an on 21 January, 2016. As part of the visit, Mr. Cobi met with Ya’an FAO and Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, and Presidents of Ya’an People’s Hospital, Ya’an Hospital of Traditional Chinese, Affiliated Hospital of Ya’an Vocational College. Mr. Feng Yi, the deputy director general of Ya’an FAO mentioned, Israel and China enjoy exceptionally good relations marked by a deep mutual respect and appreciation for one another’s long history and tradition. Ya’an and Israel already cooperated in certain fields in past few years and Mr. Feng believed that both sides will gain greater achievements in the future. Later, Mr. Cobi and Director of Human Resource  and Social Security Bureau discussed in depth regarding MASHAV training programs proposed by Ya’an Hospitals. And both sides expressed wishes to explore opportunities and establish long-term-cooperation in fields like agriculture, hi-tech, education and medical.
    The program of this visit also includes a tour to Zhongli New Village, one of the most successful reconstruction projects after the big earthquake in 2013. The Party Secretary of Zhongli New Village accompanied in the tour. Mr. Cobi visited the social service center and agricultural museum.
