From December 12th to December 15th, two Israeli star Tal Friedman and Orna Banai came to Chengdu as volunteers of the Research Base of Giant Panda. During these three days, they fed the panda, cleaned panda’s enclosure and guided the tourists. Besides, they have also experienced a variety of cultural activities in Chengdu.This volunteering activity was co-organized by the Consulate General of Israel in Chengdu and Chenghua district in order to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relation between China and Israel.
Amir Lati, the consul general of Israel in Chengdu, said that the direct flight from Chengdu to Tel Aviv was expected to open next year; this activity will be a good opportunity to attract more Israeli to travel to Chengdu.

And their experience in Chengdu will be taken to Israel by an accompanying Israeli national television station.
At 9:30 in the morning of December 12, Wan Lin, deputy head of the people's Government of Chenghua District, Chengdu, together with the Consul General Amir Lati and vice consul general Uri Zirinski, welcomed the coming of the Israeli volunteers. Wan Lin said that she hoped that through this event, overseas people would have a better understanding of Chengdu, and more cooperation projects would be conducted between the two sides.
