Today, Amir Lati, the Consul General of Israel in Chengdu visited the exhibition of post-disaster reconstruction of Wenchuan Earthquake with ambassadors and consul generals of other countries.
“Ten years ago, I was working for Consulate General of Israel in Shanghai. When the earthquake happened, we put down all the work, beginning to organize and coordinate donations for the stricken areas. Ten years later, I am visiting the exhibition of reconstruction with diplomats from other states. It is so proud for me to see that Israel was on a list of countries which has offered rescue operations and other assistance.” Mr. Amir said, many lives have gone away in the disaster unfortunately, reconstruction could light hopes for the living and regain the future for these earthquake-stricken areas.
Let us always remember and mourn for the loss of victims.
