Deputy Director General of Mashav visited Sichuan

    From March 21th to 22th, Yuval Fuchs, deputy director general of Israel Mashav, visited southwestern China for the first time, in a short span of one and a half days, he discussed with Liangshan to strengthen agricultural cooperation, going to Renshou to inspect agricultural demonstration site of Sichuan Agriculture University and then meeting with the Education Department of Sichuan Province, the Bureau of Foreign Experts Affairs of Sichuan province and the Sichuan Agricultural University as well as Agriculture Department of Sichuan Province, the Forestry Department of Sichuan province and the Sichuan olive Development Promotion Association, and actively exploring the possibility of bilateral cooperation.
     
    The international development cooperation program, which is official, began at the end of 1957, and Mashav is the abbreviation of Hebrew of the center for international development and cooperation of Israel. As a department of the Ministry of foreign affairs of Israel, its goal is to share with the developing countries the knowledge and technology accumulated in the rapid development of Israel. It has now flourished as a rich cooperative program in the developing world, with the aim of ensuring sustainable development of society, economy and environment.
     
    350 thousand students from 140 countries, and has established dozens of demonstration projects in several countries. Mashav redoubled his long-term efforts to apply Israeli solutions to services in developing countries, so as to achieve their goal of improving their own development.
     
    The rapid development of Southwestern China has given Mashav an opportunity to find cooperative potential in the future. ‘Agriculture will become one of the key areas for cooperation in the future.’ Yuval stressed in an interview with reporters on 21th.
